I have to admit.. 104.9 The River has come a long way with Mr. Baughman a the helm.

I don't think that anyone in this city would ever had dreamed that they would ever be as involved in the community as they are and have such good numbers.. atleast for a CCM station.

You cant ignore the truth.. the River has passed 97.1, K 95.5 and the Blitz in the trends... think it is fair to consider them a "big game player" yet?..

WVCO is the only stand alone station in the top 10 in the market... pretty impressive for these days.

They have done impressive work with that station in the last few years. Just a few years ago they where not even in the arbs with the Hell and Brimstone Preaching 24/7 and now that their a very polished, community involved Christian AC they are doing amazing things and really putting themselves out there. Sure they voice track a lot of their shifts, but I dont know other local station that is out and about in as many different area community things as they are.

and Ofcourse their benfitting Clear Channel outdoor, I think at times, I see a 104.9 The River billboard on every corner!

Agreed. I see their van out and about all the time. This is a station that in my opinion is getting it right. I don't know what it is costing them to "get it right" but they have become a very visible player in the market.

It's costing them a LOT to "get it right" .. but they are licensed as a Commerical station now and with that Arb figure, they can easly "sell" ads for top dollar.
