104.9-WZMR THE NEW EDGE!!!!

As of 3AM,(probably earlier-I couldn\'t stand to hear Tina, any longer)

WZMR seems to have picked up, where WQBK, left off, almost exactly two months ago. Albany is certainly bucking the national trend, on the decline of rock formats. I don\'t believe that we have had this many rock signals, in the market, since around 1995!!! This is going to get interesting. I wonder if the EDGE will eventually end up on 105.7!
 
Let's see we have no dance station, but yet these GM's insist on another Rock format. Stupid!!! What planet are they on? There is already too many Rock station's here, why add another one? Just plain stupid.

Was WSRD out of Johnstown, then Modern AC The Point Z-104.9...flipped to Smooth Jazzwhen WHRL went to Channel 103.1(1999?)...then Love FM, I Don't know when they dropped jazz and swapped to Froggy, now the "New" Edge...could have even stolen/bought the playlist from Regent (and all it's other incarnations, now that I think about it).
That's what....five formats in six years?

While the current format might be something I could dig.....ABCs track record (96.3 Country, et al) tells me I shouldn't get used to, or depend on it staying this way for long! They've got NO ONE in house who can program this format, unless they're grabbing list from other markets.

Just another 6k watter that doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up.

G-R-E-A-T!!!!!! Another F****N ROCK format...how original? DOesn't matter if it was the old EDGE format or not....they don't seem to get it.....HOWARD STERN WAS THE EDGE!!!!! Outside of his daypart they were lucky if they were mediocre! And their signal was BETTER than 104.9!!!! Jeezus..Albany continues to solidify it's position as one of the worst, and now add "most stupid" radio markets in the country!!!

Hey Albany how about doing something original for a change, instead of copying everyone else?!!!! Oh wait...let me crack open another beer,light up another cig, forget to brush my teeth and ROCK ON, MAN!!!!!! ROCK AND ROLL, YEAH!!

Great sound thus far, I have removed the Old Edge with the new Edge on my radio presets!!!! I applaud abc for giving the people what they want to hear....will this be the end of Galaxy in the area or does Q 103 get dumped....anybody know about on air personalities yet???? Great imaging the voice guy is quality and LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!

Are they actually using the EDGE moniker? Why in the world would they put another rock station on in Albany? I guess the audience isn't splintered enough. If they're playing all of that hard crap that the EDGE played then don't worry, it won't be around for long. The EDGE was an also ran that had #'s because of Howard. These jamokes don't even have Howard as an anchor. Maybe they'll bring back Mason to do mornings.

as of 4PM all is snow over at 104.9.......smells like either a cease and desist or just a punk......hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Uhhhh...ABC in Albany is Albany Broadcasting Company, not the big boy ABC Radio.
