104 Commercial on TV

that station is done for, and its being sold separate from the other stations they have a Asst PD that is Asst to nobody why would they ever I mean ever waist there precious Clear Channel dollars on TV commercials

Seriously dude ... first chill out. Second get your facts straight.

I'm not claining to know everything, but I do know that CC Hartford has an Ops manager. I'm sure the "APD" at 104 reports to him. As for having an APD and not a PD ... it's a cluster ... and it's CC they tend to consolidate.

As for the commercial ... They are most likely doing it on Trade and not spending money ... I would hardly call that a waste.

I wonder who buys 104.1 what format will they flip it to. It won't be urban as they wouldn't wanna compete with Hot. Could go back to AC before the Radio 104 days and compete head to head with Lite 100.5. Magic 104.1 or Star 104.1 whatever it was called in the early 90s could be the name. Other then that you could have Entercom buy the station and they will make it part of the WEEI network I bet.

Or maybe someone will keep the alternative format, which has an audience, and do it right. There is enough crap in this pathetic wasteland of a radio market why add to it....

Not all the stations in the market suck. I would say mostly the Clear Channel stations do. But the Hartford Market has its choices. AC, Country, Hip Hop, Rock, Hot AC, Classic Hits, Rock AC, and Pop. Speaking of pop someone could give KISS a run for its money.

I just forgot, both 95.7 and 104.1 are on the same tower. Wonder when Clear Channel sells 104.1 they will have to get off the 95.7 tower. As if 104.1 went pop with a new owner I am sure Clear Channel would be pissed to have just sold a station and now they have to worry about KISS and improving that station.
