104 has new call sign, WRNO keeps there's

No supprise changing the calls. KHEV dosen't work for a rocker, but I figured it would have been KRNO if it is not already used, or moving WRNO on 104 and change 99.5. Although The way corperate changes calls hith no regard for heritage( ie; KHOM-FM 104) I think it might be best to keep monitor the FCC site just in case.

People were thinking the WRNO calls would move to 104.1 but either CC didn't ask or it was nixed at the FCC.

KRNO as was pointed out, is already taken by a a/c in Reno

Besides WRNO could become "Radio for New Orleans" or "the Reaction of New Orleans"

RFLA

The FCC does make allowances though... Costello's WTIX has it's transmitter and COL (Galliano) west of the Mississippi River and that's why we thought the FCC may have made another exception... It's done around the Mississippi river in Minnesota too from what I've heard.
