All right David, pie in Marathon? Manny & Isa's?

Yep!

Key lime pie doesn't get any better.

Yep!

I can't tell you how many times I dragged my wife there when we were say, within a hundred miles. So often that she stopped complaining.

The view of the VOA site is an added benefit.

Haven't been there in quite a few years.

Neither have I. I looked at a KLP in the supermarket a while back, and it was made in Traverse City, Michigan.

@David: I was being sarcastic. I'm no Commie by any means.....

Nor did I think you were... I was just clarifying that the Cuban government holds a special hatred and specific vocabulary for Martí. Gusanos are even worse than imperialistas, unless, of course, they are in Combinado del Este which is where they seem to put them.

On the other hand, we all had a list of terms for Fidel in the Mariel era... never was his name or offical postion mentioned. It was the Spanish equivalent of "the executioner of the Caribbean" or "The hangman of the Americas" or "The traitor of Cuba"... at WHTT we had about 10 Fidelisms we rotated, and stations like WQBA and Cadena Azul had even more.

@David---

Tropo forecast looks good for next weekend....we might go to the Keys to DX. Never been to Manny & Isa's, but I think I saw it.

Question, then, as you do Marti research: Did you do any research on whether WPIK 102.5 made any impact in Cuba when they ran Radio Marti about 4 years ago? I'm curious....I do not recall any jammers on 102.5 in the Keys, but then again, you said their FM stations are on low sticks.

cd

PS---I'm good at taking threads OT....I need to stop it.

PPS---update----forecast isn't so good now....think we'll stay home.
