1043 NOW studios???

Since 1043 NOW FM has new ownership, did they move everything out of the beasley studio's on tropicana????

also, which broadcaster do you think has the best studios & worst studios???

I've been to LOTUS, by far the best setup, oh and hot receptionist too.:)

I haven't seen CC, CBS or Beasley yet. Is Beasley still analog carts and CD's or is everything on hard drive's nowadays????

Considering how you've slammed CC and Beasley, you'd be lucky they don't open the door with your face when they throw you out! Good luck with your visits!

So just where is, or did Ed set up shop? When does he take over the SF station 92.7? Will he will give these other ownership groups a run for their money? Should be fun to watch and hear the results!

Everything is on hard drive at Beasley...

I have the feeling that they moved rooms around & did like CC in San Diego when CC sold off the Mexican stations to Finest City Broadcasting -- they added a wall or two and created a new area in the building for Finest City's operation..

So it's possible that 104.3 is in a new room at the same location..

Thanks for the complement on our studios. Lotus is dedicated to a fine working environment for all employees. Wait till I finish the new two studio, 3 office and conference room addition in the near future and come back and see us again. Ask for Bill C. the Chief E. Unfortunately our Hot receptionist, Crystol, has left us to go back to her native Chicago. It was hard for her and us as she had been with us for a long time and was loved by everyone. She really hated to leave, but personal matters made it necessary. The two part time replacements we have hired, Sylvia and Alice are pretty hot tho and are worthy replacements.

A question, Bill: Is it true(with apologies to the late Jim Healy, legendary LA radio personality) that Lotus(a.k.a. FOX920 will be carrying USC Trojan football this year?? Pre-game? Postgame? Promos??

Fox Sports Radio 920 will be carrying the USC Trojans this year. 920 will also be carrying the Nevada Wolfpack this year. And, of course, ESPN Radio 1100 will once again be the flagship station for the UNLV Rebels.

Bill, you've got a great facility on West Flamingo, certainly one you can be proud of. Demodave, I'll bet you don't miss your old cave on South Decatur. When it was new and only housed KENO-AM it was a decent place, the control room was on the east side of the building had a great view of the entire strip- this was before subsequent add-ons.

If we delve into studios of the past, that could be the a whole new thread, and would be good material for my Las Vegas Radio History website http://gapfel.com/vegasradio I've touched upon a few of the facilities I remember over the years already. One which stands out in my mind in the "worst" category would be KUDO 93.1 FM in the basement of the Marina Hotel circa 1983. The guest rooms above had Jacuzzi tubs which occassionally flooded into the studios below; to cover the water stains on the walls we plastered up posters all over. It was a major improvement when we moved across the parking lot to the Tropicana Country Club with the view of the golf course out of the studios.
