105.1 HD3 is now all Christmas music

I'm sure all five people listening to it will be excited.
Here's the thing about that The HD3 as K-Surf Oldies has listeners. In fact in the latest 6+ PPM they had a 0.2 share with a cume of 49,000. The month before was a 0.3 share. We'll see how many stick around when the November book comes out

Am I the only one entertained by the fact that a guy who happens to be Jewish loves Christmas music?

Because up until last year, he also regularly flipped GoCountry 105 to Christmas in November.

I read an interview with his son Michael that they don't see it as a religious thing. I get that.

Indeed. L.A. Oldies K-SURF (HD3) and K-Mozart Classical (HD2) are the two formats that have proven their ability to recruit a dedicated audience. The only options that should be toyed with are HD4, which is currently The Surf, a smooth jazz station - and AM 1260, which is currently back to broadcasting the K-Mozart classical format, which returned to the KMZT-AM in April 2025 after a period as a Classic Country station.

Hey, if Saul really wants to have some fun with this. How about adding a 'Hanukkah song of the hour'. There's no shortage of it. Music to spin your draedl by...

It has been all Christmas 365 days a year for at least 4 years now. They pushed KIXI to the HD3 at that time.
Say what??? Christmas music is MORE important than KIXI!? I think not.

When KIXI goes all ho-ho-ho after Thanksgiving., there will be three Christmas music choices on 106.9. Forget the rest, the best will be on HD3... 🎄 🎁

Lately HD4 has expanded their playlist, including Motown. Right now it's My Girl by the Temptations. But I've even heard a Toni Braxton song. In addition to the smooth jazz songs mixed in.
