Heard on Howard 100 News: The EDGE morning crew had Artie Lange on their show for his gig Friday Nite.
Management scolded the crew but they have GUTS. Who cares if Artie works on SIRIUS Satellite Radio, on the ? what is his name show?

It seems other local radio shows were promoting it as the Collin Quin show and friends. When, Artie was the headliner. Gee, now who at 105.3 owe's their "bacon" to Howard Stern?
1. Puke and Bitchy - they never had a better lead in. Have their ratings been any higher?

2. Russ "No Balls" Martin - Even Cindy Scull called him a "Howard Stern imitator", plus he has stolen a few tricks from Bubba the Love Sponge.

Question #1: If local radio management tells staff to re word the truth, where does Russ stand up, or even Puke, All Kelly has to do is threaten to sue again.

Question #2: How many "jokes/jocks" at 105.3 have Sirius statellite radio's?
I would like to know.

CBS knew they screwed the pooch when they let howie and the gang go...Why P&K has stayed on is beyond me, as they're nothing but a series of consecutive ads interspliced with recycled content. The same goes with russ, hasnt had an original thought since 1998.
 
The Eagle does rock harder.

The bone used to have a logo that said "rocks harder"

But that was before the eagle came back and showed them all what's up.
 
Speaking of P&K: I rarely listen to the station anymore, but have been stuck at my desk these last few days when P&K is on. Is Eric gone from the show? I kinda liked him, but today some other guy was there and he wasn't even mentioned. Usually, that means you've been dismissed. Anyone know?
 
they said Eric was taking a personal day. he took one on Monday also. the new guy is some comedian, Justin Foster, not sure what his role is, but he has been there for about a month or so.
 
How many guests do you hear on Russ' show? Especially tired comedians with problems. The Edge morning show would have a goat on if they could fill time. Artie not being on other stations wasn't because management didn't want to promote Sirius, it's because there is nothing to promote. The only reason Artie makes the news is if he ODs.
 
Since I'm trapped at work without my satellite radio, I tend to have my radio tuned in to 105.3. For a station that 's down to 22 (I think) in the ratings, one would question the intelligence of having both your morning show (Jagger) and afternoon show (P&K) out at the same time. Jagger's doing "best of" and some boring guy is filling in for P&K. I used to like Jagger, but his show's gotten boring as heck and I used to be the only guy on this forum that actually liked P&K, but lately they've become almost unbearably bad. Luckily, I'm out of there by the time Russ is comes on...talk about unlistenable! I really thing this station's format is done!!

I have a portable unit with a car kit, I record stuff on it and listen at work. Well worth the money, if I still lived in Dallas and had to listen to P&K I'd have to jab a stick in my ears.
 
In response to what satradio said, not only are Jagger and Pugs and Kelly out, but so is Russ Martin. At least he was last week, while the other shows were out also. However, P&K have been out for nearly three weeks. Something is def going on with them, like perhaps a contract or legal issue. They didn't mention anything about being gone the day before they were out and they are barely even mentioned on the station. Also, most of their spots have disappeared.
 
So what's going on? I've noticed P&Ks spots missing too. Add in bringing in Justin Foster to help beef up the comedy on their show barely a month ago, and now their gone?? O'Malley and BDH still keep saying theor filling in but it's been way too long. Wonder when we'll hear something...
 
I have a feeling theres going to be a major shakeup at KLLI within the next few months...That means a total house cleaning, I suspect spittle is getting axed and they're either going to filp the format or keep the talk and go syndicated for a good chuck of the broadcast day, save one or two local hosts..this is the same thing that happened over at KLIF around the time kev mac left..

If the latter is the case, I hope they bring in Carollas show from LA, as it runs 5a-10a PDT(7a-12p Central) as it would be infinitely better than the junk they're running right now...
 
A year or two ago, Russ was still top 5 with men (if not better).

But Pugs and Kelly haven't been top ten for 2 or 3 years. And it's a sad state of affairs when you can't make the top 10 IN YOUR DEMO.

Last week was vacation week for the Russ Martin show and they've been back since Monday.

How can you tell, every show sounds like best of. I just hear that train wreck in bits and pieces, but every show sounds exactly the same. The last time, I got stuck at my desk over a month ago, Russ was playing some tape in which JD supposedly said the N-word. Really, how long have they been working that tired bit??

because I listened the friday before the week of July 4th and they mentioned that they were going on vacation that next week, that is how.

I listen online to my sat radio whie at work. Ever tried that? www.xmradio.com click listen online - it is free if you subscribe. Sirius too.
