Are there any visitors to this site who live in northen Woostah County? How well are you getting WPKZ-AM 1280's FM translator?

I was surprised when I was driving west of town on Route 2 to hear WPKZ's translator clearly well past Gardner. It starts to "picket fence" as you get into the Templeton-Baldwinville area, but I'll bet it's still a usable signal in a home receiver. To the north, it makes it to the NH line and breaks up in Milford.

But I sure do wish it was still WEIM. The last incarnation of that 60-plus year old set of call letters, as AC "the Blend," would have been perfect for FM, even in mono! WPKZ is just more of the same old same old.

WEIM was a great little Top 40 station in the late 60s/early 70s....

WPKZ has a lot of variety. I don't listen to Hannity (for good reason), but I do listen to the Sox. When I drive down I-495 south, their signal goes all the way down to Hopkinton before it falls apart. Luckily, 103.7 takes it from there ;)

The 105.3 gets absolutley hammered in Worcester by the illegal station off of I-290 which splatters all over 105.3 and 105.7.
