So, the owner has nothing to do with the owner.
Perfectly clear.
If we are talking about K283CH, the owner is the Centro Cristiano de Vida Eterna, headed by Héctor Guevara.
That's a church.
I meant the translator is owned by a Minister that also owns a church. And also owns LATINO BROADCASTING CORPORATION. It’s like he’s LBC is leasing his translator. Ok it’s like when I used to work for a hospital as a catering assistant for the Cafeteria. The Hospital (which owns the cafeteria) would pay the cafeteria to have a catering event for doctors or other visitors. Yes they’re owned by the hospital but like The Physical Therapy dept would get charged by the cafeteria to have special food for the meetings they would have. Or when The Housekeeping department would have a event they would also pay us in the cafeteria for the food and supplies. Every department has their budget.
I don’t work in the Radio industry but I’m assuming (and I could be wrong) and most likely I am, but I think it works the same for Radio stations. I think (and I cant help but underline the I THINK part) that is how LBC works. LA CALIENTE has a budget they sale their commercials, adds ect ect and that’s how they make money. And they use that money to lease the translator from Centro Cristiano. If they can’t afford it then Centro finds another lease. That’s what I think happened with 104.5, which is now Ihope radio. If LBC would have been making enough money LA MEJOR would still have been on air.
Btw in my opinion LA MEJOR has a catchier name than LA CALIENTE especially for a REGIONAL MEXICAN FORMAT.
La caliente sounds like a name for a Tropical music station.
Speaking of being owned by a church. Would a Christian regional Mexican/ rap, hip-hop in Spanish station work in houston??
I mean I have started to listen to different singers and bands on YouTube such as Redimi2, Funky, Los Vencedores, Grupo Juda, Javier Molina, Grupo Firmez and other Bandas too.
I mean a station that caters away from slow worship songs from singers like Marcos Witt, Adrian Romero, Marcos Barrientos, Miel San Marcos ect ect.
Would it work?
