105.5 Pirate in Saco

In Reny's parking lot yesterday I picked up a country station on 105.5.Had to wait quite a while to I.D. it.It was Live 365 "The Rise".It came in good for about a one mile radius.

i would say hes not flying under the radar because he doesn't need to! i listened for a bit online today and didn't hear one thing about 105.5 fm, just online 365 the rise. also caught some call letters in there too didn't catch any commercials at all and you said about 1 mile it came in? sounds well under specs to me! if theres top hr id hes most likely legit. but then again why go through that trouble for 1 mile say. id might be just for 365 or maybe this...some people do have transmiters to listen around the yard or camp ground just a thought.. i wouldn't go to jumpin so fast on callin this person a pirate without knowing the whole scoop

just my opinion

Looks like he works/used to work for the Wolf. Not sure having a pirate station is the way to keep your part time pro-radio career afloat...

As kitt mentioned previously, there's nothing that really says he's a pirate. Unless what you consider pirate is anyone unlicensed regardless of whether they are within FCC guidelines or not.

Wonder who this could be?

And yeah, I like Knight Rider a lot too.

oh man i wish i had that guys car!! nice assumption jeff but no thats just a coincidence i don't and never have worked for wolf or any other maine station for that matter i just look and read and i posted because i didnt think it was right for someone to be called a pirate without good cause !

hope your well

I'll be more careful next so as not to offend anyone. I was just using "pirate" as a generic word to describe what I assume is an unlicensed fm signal.
