Can this be true? DCRTV is reporting K-Love will buy both stations and flip to religious.

whose gonna fill the void for CHR?

I am sure that Mitch the owner of Great Scott Broadcasting will flip on of his several stations to CHR or Oldies. He likes to changes things all the time. This time he has a good reason to. If I were him I would put 101.7 & 95.3 back together and make it CHR. There is no reason to have a HotAC and CHR under the same roof. You could also drop the country on 107.7 and put that with 101.7 to make a good CHR.

This also leaves a void in the market for a "Greatest Hits" format. The Wave actually put up some better numbers than many other stations in this market. It is an upper demo format...but there are alot of retired people in the Delmarva region. This would be something for a company like Delmarva to look at. They could expand the reach of "COOL" in Milford by putting it on....let's say...97.1? They could also create a seperate station. They've been doing some weekend programming of this type on 92.5. At least they were when they first put it on.

I wonder if the new 1590 AM with it's FM signal at 105.1 in Ocean City could make a Classic Hits format work.
