I will not listen to it ever except for the first day. I am not going to listen to the same Billy Ocean and Madonna songs over and over. And don't forget all night long Lionel Richie all day long everyday!!!!!
KOLA in Riverside-San Bernardino plays 1970s-80s-90s classic hits. (You can listen to KOLA online at http://www.kolafm.com/ ) Max FM plays late '70s through early '90s, so Max has around 18 years of music as opposed to KOLA's 30. I don't expect Max FM to be too repetitious. Here in Los Angeles, KRTH's basic playlist is only 300 songs and many of them are played three times a day, every day. Yikes! XHPRS morning co-host John Nolan quit in July, leaving Kim Morrison to work solo. Then Rich "Brother" Robbin left in August. Jack Diamond is the new morning show co-host. Prior to a 24-year run at WRQX in Washington DC, Diamond had done mornings at country KSON. Christina Martinez, formerly at KRTO in Guadalupe, now does afternoons. (And no, I didn't crib that info from Wikipedia. I'm the one who just updated Wikipedia.)
Aside from the format shift and re-branding of 105.7 posted above:
Judging from the date/time stamp on your post, you were listening after 10 PM PT on Sunday evening when I believe (needs confirmation) most of the Mexican transmitter-based stations run the "La Hora Nacional" Mexican National Hour program on Sunday evenings from 10 PM until 11 PM or Midnight.
This would affect English-language stations such as XHITZ-90.3, XETRA-91.1, XHRM-92.5, XHLNC-104.9, XHPRS-105.7, XEPRS-1090 and XEPE-1700.
I've heard Mexican programming during the week on 1090 and 1700 after 11 PM PT.
In addition, the "Himno Nacional Mexicano" (the Mexican National Anthem) airs at Midnight and 5 AM.
