105.7 The Tea Kettle Whistle

105.7 The Groove is off the air on Memorial Day. The station's audio has been replaced with a sound that I describe as a long continuous tea kettle whistle. The website is still up...which means technical difficulties (equipment failure somewhere along the line).

This is what a combination of cost cutting...heavy reliance on automation...and no staff on call on a holiday result in. Technical problems that cannot be fixed in minutes.
 
Maybe the last of the Jacor folks told that slave driver to shove that sweatshop right up his-

They should've at least changed the format to AC last October similar to the format and music played on WBBQ in Augusta, GA with a mix of currents and hits from the 70's to 90's. That will take care of the Star 94 problem as well as provide healthy competition to the often boring and repetitive B98.5 station.

No wonder the CC stations here are screwed up compared to other cities.
 
105.7 came back on shortly after 8 PM last night. Apparently...they do still have someone on call. Apparently...they could not be taken away from their barbeque.

Yes...Clear Channel should bring back the "Peach", on either 105.7 or 94.9. But I have seen better intelligence on a schoolhouse playground than at CC Atlanta.

Amazing, this station started out fun and different, but now sounds like 107.9, go away 105.7, I'd rather put WGST on here instead of the sh)) they play now...
 
I seriously doubt that they could be sounding like 107.9.....
Something tells me this might not be true!

The last time I checked (which was a few weekends ago) 105.7 was playing Metrostation in the mix with Daft Punk..
