105.7 The X's Lyndi Starr. 1983 - 2007.

Lyndi worked some nights and weekends for The X and was always a refreshing voice to hear. She had a sweetness and charisma about her that you couldn't deny. It's obvious that she was a woman who was very well liked at the station, known for her energy, poetry, and kinship. Her loss is a tragedy in many respects, as she seemed to really be coming into her own on the air. Lyndi will be missed by friends, co-workers, and listeners alike.

The X will be airing a special tribute on Saturday night from 6PM to 12AM.

Of course, my heart goes out to the family and thoughts and prayers. Can you shed any light as to what caused such a tragedy to such a young person?

There was a nice story about her in the Hanover (PA) Evening sun.

Lyndi Starr loved photography.

She loved it so much that her mother, Sherri Myers, had hoped to create a darkroom for her daughter one day in their Hershey home. Myers was getting ready to welcome one more into that home on March 10 as Starr gave birth to her first child. But then something went wrong.

Starr died Tuesday, 10 days after giving birth to her daughter, because of complications brought on by childbirth, her mother said. She was 23.

It was during child birth. The baby did live (a girl I think).
What a shame, so young.

Sorry to come in so late on this....was opening my store and tending to it so I fell behind on reading. I, too, was saddened to hear of Lyndi's premature and tragic passing. A few days later my mother informed me that it was complications after child birth and it just broke my heart. The most precious thing a woman can do and she gave the ultimate sacrifice in doing it.
