105.9 Greg FM in Knoxville

I noticed today that Loud Media has made another change. They got rid of the Atomic 106 simulcast on WGAP 1400/105.9 and have debuted 105.9 Greg FM. Musically it sounds like Adult Hits (from the little I heard while in their small signal range). The “Greg” refers to syndicated personality Greg Beharrell who apparently will be the only voice on the station.

Heard an ID from them early this morning on Youtube, which started out with a 45 I had years ago (The Bristol Stomp) and went into something else (can't remember now what it was). I remember them from visiting the area, but that's been a number of years ago. I believe in those days, the AM was simulcasting with maybe a Clenton station. Let's see if I can find the ID now. Oh, in looking, it says here, that they simulcasted with an Oliver Springs station, that may have been the one, but I thought it was Clenton.

I keep seeing this brand mentioned around the interwebs, so I decided to listen. Literally the first thing I heard was a station ID that went: "GREG-FM is WGAP Maryville/Knoxville, a Loud Media station. Insert SFX." Is the "Insert SFX" supposed to be funny? Because I would think most listeners wouldn't even know what it means.

So far, it's been a few songs (good songs; nothing special) and ironic imaging that isn't very different than what Adult Hits stations have been doing for the past couple of decades. Wondering what your experience has been with this station. Likes, dislikes, etc.
