105.9 Simulcasting WAY-FM Again

Shine 105.9 went dark on July 1, and was replaced by a simulcast of 93.9 WAY-FM. Didn't notice it until WAY-FM starting running their new jingles, as the TOH ID mentions both stations. The former WRVI was once a simulcast partner of WAYI when WAYI was on 104.3 (now WLUE).

It would be nice to see Radio U or Air1 on this frequency, but I doubt that would ever happen. WSYI actually covers more of Louisville proper than WLUE, so perhaps Louie changes channels or even runs a simulcast like WAY-FM did not that long ago.

Why is Way wasting 105.9 with a simulcast?

I would like to see WLUE move to 105.9 so that they would have a better signal. But they would have to change their many "Louie 104.3" jingles :)
I would then like for WNDA 1570 to simulcast on 104.3. WNDA is a really good News/Talk station (unlike Dave Ramsey 1080) and I would like to hear them on FM again. They simulcasted 1570 on 104.3 before "Louie 104.3" started.
Another idea for 105.9 or 104.3 would be for WHBE 680 to simulcast on one of the stations. A while back when Drew Deener moved to 680 he mentioned that 680 needed a better signal.

I would like to see 105.9 do an original format. Why simulcast something we already have? Do something new. It's not like we are overwhelmed with good radio stations in this market. Why put on a format that nobody is listing to on another signal. OK... I have awakened from my dream now.

680's signal is good as long as you babysit the antenna. Like most directionals, if you don't have someone keeping an eye on it on a regular basis, it can go to crap pretty quick and be very expensive to get back to where it should be. They put a 2.5 mV/m signal over the entire metro Louisville area day and night.

Cough up the money and ask to LMA it.
