105.9 sounding better...

I noticed over the past week Jammin 105.9 has added Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head, and also recently heard Shakira - Hips don't lie the Reggaetone version. I really like the way it sounds. They have increased the more Upbeat/dance music and lessened on the slower songs especially in the evenings. I hope they continue to move more toward the Rythmic/dance format or that On the Move format that has been talked about on here before. :)

They have been sounding good for a long time now :).

Oh give it a few months cox will screw it up again. Hey it's about time Roger Allen got his ass kicked out of Y-100. Maybe they'll hire a competent pd this time.

Speaking of cox, what has happened to KONO? I miss all the great music they once played back in the 80's. I think Bill Thorman was the pd. He knew is music!!

Cox? Got the wrong station, Jammin 105.9 is Clear channel.

Yea I know they have been sounding better for several months now but it is recent that they have added these songs and lessened on the slower songs. I was just commenting on where they may be headed over the next 6 months in terms of tweaking format wich is what they are still doing. IMO they need to have a mix show on that station. They had the 5 ocklock Traffic Jam when they were still Jammin Oldies and honestly the format they have now better suits mixshows rather than what they had before.

Jammin 105.9 is very similar to Movin 93.9 in L.A. In fact, the playlist for both station appear to have the exact playlist.

I just checked out 93.9s page wich is still under construction but they did have a myspace page and it has some drops on it that you can listen to. The only difference though at least for now is that 105.9 does not play any rock/pop style music like Kelly Clarkson or Gnarls Barkley wich they do on 93.9 in LA. I hope 105.9 stays Rythmic/Urban without the rock/pop element.

I spoke too soon about the Rock/pop, they just added No Doubt - Its My life...

Like I said, it's the same format as Movin 93.9. There might be a slight difference but overall it's the same.
