105.9 The Rock playlist sounding better.

We listen to 105.9 The Rock at work and have noticed they are playing more variety, thank god it had become very stale. Now I hear Neil Young , Bowie, Mott The Hoople, deeper cuts from Floyd , Zeppelin , Stones and the Who. Even heard some 90's alternative Nirvana, STP,Pearl Jam ,RHCP and Collective Soul. Just wish I could hear less Foreigner, Boston and Journey and more Tull , Yes, ELP, Traffic,Triumph,Dead,Allman Bros,Dylan. Hope it keeps getting better ,the classic Rock format doesn't have to be so predictable god knows there's enough stations playing songs about trucks ,tailgates ,Levi's and beer drinking on a pier.

If they have more local control over what they're playing, then kudos to Rock. Otherwise, it'd be a carbon copy of Rock 103 Memphis and Z106.7 Jackson.

I think they actually are running more local, It used to be a carbon copy of 106.1 WTAK here, so much that the interference on 105.9 from 106.1 just sounded like an echo at times. I've noticed they've been running completely different from 106.1 now.

And I want to know, are the "Vinylly Friday" cuts actually on vinyl? I have yet to hear a pop or crackle.
