1050 STATION IN LEWISBURG, KY

Anybody have any info on the 1050 in Lewisburg? I've heard it over the past year that we've lived in KY, first in Hardinsburg somewhat and now here in Beaver Dam stronger, with (I think) an ID of some sort, but all I've been able to catch is they're in Lewisburg. They've always had live religious programming on Sunday mornings, with a Sports format during the week for a while, although last time I heard them on a weekday, they were Classic Country, with said formats, very low volume. The preachers come through loud and clear though! LOL! I'm just looking for info on this station, that's all.

There's a 1050, licensed to Cincinnati. Their tower is in Covington, close to the Ohio River.

I just pulled up the WNES coverage map. WNES is what you're receiving.

That's what I said three posts ago.

Totally true. You nailed it. However, a couple of people were questioning that post. Mine was just a verification of your post.

Thanks JRY. I lived in Central City and know the station well. It's owned by Starlight Communications. They have a big 100K and two class A's also. That's defiantly the station Brother Josh is picking up. I doubt the Cincinnati station could carry that far even with skip.

Thanks guys, for the clarification and comments. I tuned into the station today and they were doing Classic Country, but their modulation was a whole lot better than earlier.

HMMM, I didn't know that, thanks! Two out of three of those, I know and let's just say, IMHO, they make do with what they have. I've dealt with Hartford and Greenville on occasion and they are at the very least, unprofessional. It's amazing what passes for good local radio these days.

WQXQ sounds worlds better now than it did 10 years ago.
