I don't know if the format changed since I don't listen to new pop music. What do people here think? And I assume the call letters will change....
Ron Harris, who was on KNBQ for a while I think, and he was also on KPLZ. He was quite good.KHITS was a top40 brand in Seattle in the 80's, I think out of Bremerton. Didn't last long but had some decent talent, (Howard Hoffman?)
Some may remember there were four CHR Top40 branded stations in the mid-80's. KUBE, KPLZ, KNBQ, and KHIT. It was a true competitive battle, but also somewhat of a circus. Talent: Gary Bryan, Charlie Brown, Beau Roberts, Kent & Alan, and many others I am leaving out.
This. Andy never worked at KJR.Andy never worked at KJR. He had two stints at KING AM, then as mentioned KHIT and I believe Magic 108 (KMGI). Has been in Tulsa OK for the past 26 years, recently retired from The Drive 92.9. One of the all time greats.
Actually it's San Diego, and it's an iHeart station, so they could easily move them to Seattle if they wanted.Unfortunately the KHTS call letters are taken by a station in Santa Maria, CA
