106.1 The River

Glad to hear "classic hits" back on WWWY! ...wonder what WIN 104.9 will sound like?

Awesome that 106.1 is Classic Hits now.... 104.9 will likely go ROCK,, mainstream AC,,, OR if were lucky,, maybe CHR..

I cant see them going country in the market with 2 other strong stations.. maybe a good time oldies format might work,, but I doubt that happens.. Im betting they go some form of rock or AC,,, maybe CHR since their are no alternatives to hot ac WRZQ for todays hit music

The rumor I heard was that 104.9 would be some derivative of CHR. Of course, if you read it on Twitter, it must be true, right?

LOL Yeah..... :D Everything on Twitter is fact....haha

I think in this day and age,, a Dance Leaning CHR like KMVA Phoenix might work for the time being in Columbus... Id rather see this happen in Indy as I said in an earlier post.... But I think Radio Now is too strong a station and already plays enough dance to satisfy the Indy Listener.. But in all seriousnous.. Columbus does need a CHR for the kids and 20 somethings.. WRZQ is too laid back for youth.

104.9 is currently at this moment playing Black Eyed Pea's Boom Boom Pow.. I can barely hear this station in Martinsville.. Do they stream online... We see what they play next... It may in fact be chr now

OK its official 104.9 the new WIN 104.9 Columbus's New number one hit music station..... YAY :D 8)
