106.1 WOLS downgrading their facilities??

There is a Construction Permit listed for WOLS on the FCC website indicating that they are planning to modify their transmitting facilities. This includes lowering the antenna height (agl) from 145 meters to 107 meters and decreasing their power from 21k to 20.9k. It's not listed on Radio Locator yet.

I live in North Charlotte and there is always been interferance issues with their signal in the area. It seems like it's only going to get worse. I wouldnt be surprised if those issues spill south and into Charlotte. Time for a format change?? j/k

I went to the Charlotte Observer article about Old School 105.3 online and happened to scroll down too far and see comments, and apparently there are people who miss the old Mix 106. I once tried to register to comment on an article and couldn't get it to work. But I wonder if those people know about WAVO? And is WAVO still on the WOLS HD-3 channel?
