106.3 construction permit

Seems like the move could benefit Cox or Cumulus owned stations. This is a long shot but is it possible that 105.7 in Atlanta could upgrade to a C1 or change frequencies to 105.9 and move closer to Atlanta?

Gotta think it either involves upgrading an Atlanta signal or could it be the first step in a series of events that would produce a C1 signal for Macon from the new tower site?

This was brought up over a year ago on the Atlanta board. If my memory stands correctly, I believe the "rumor" had to do with 106.7 out of Gainesville moving closer to Atlanta. I'm not sure how to do it but if someone can duplicate this question on the Atlanta board, I'm certain you will have an answer within a few hours. You may also want to do a search under the Atlanta board for WQBZ and see what pops up. In fact, I might do that now.

Could they be doing somthing with WKTM Soperton? It is a spanish GNN network and Higgston, GA has also 104.5 the same as 106.1 WKTM why have 2 so close? Radio-Locator has 106.1 listed as CD Country but it's GNN in spanish has been for years.

You are correct about the 106.7 moving to an In-town antenna. The application was to shift 106.7 to 106.5, due to IF issues with 96.1 Atlanta. Cumulus owns 106.5 in Chattanooga so it would have worked, but Cumulus dismissed the applications.

Here are the dismissed applications.

I am sure there is a reason for this CP and I will bet if involves Atlanta.
