Looks like they might bring back Sunny 106.3. Those are the new call letters. We'll find out at 2PM what the format will be.

Just by looking at the website and the sample playlist, they're back to soft AC as Sunny 106.3--Fort Wayne's Favorites from the 60s and 70s.

The format flip didn't take place at 2:00 as promised. I heard it was because JJ David was stuck in traffic on the interstate. :)

So where does that leave Ft. Wayne for CHR?

The closest thing to "true" CHR that Fort Wayne has now is My 103.9, which sounds to me like an adult CHR (CHR hits without the hip hop, or most of it anyway). Magic plays too much old stuff to be considered anything close to a CHR and anyone who dares to call WMEE a CHR needs a boot in the rear. So there you go.

Actually, if you listen to My103.9 now, they're pretty much mainstream CHR. It sounds like they went to mediabase and took B106.3's playlist and is playing it now.
