106.3 to go "boom"

Based on domain registration by Radio One looks like they plan to go "Boom" with 106.3 launching a "classic hip hop" format on 106.3.
 
In my limited listening so far, I'd like to hear a bit more "Classic", 80s & early 90s. I do think it's a nice addition to the market. However, I think they could run into similar issues that the Gen X format did.
