This station, in my honest opinion, is VERY little alternative. Look at the playlists of WFNX in Boston, or KNRK in Portland, for instance, to compare. Totally different playlists. Those are TRUE alternative stations: NO Shinedown, Nickelback, Three Days Grace stuff that you hear that does NOT belong on alternative/modern rock, but active rock. Heck, they aren't even playing the new Weezer album.. Arcade Fire, Bravery, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Metric, The Temper Trap, The XX, Black Keys, Jimmy Eat World, The National, Phoenix (not just "1901") etc. THAT is real alternative, just naming a few, and The End would NEVER consider even playing any of those artists, (despite them being very popular today in the alt genre) because they are too busy playing the butt rock that makes up 90% of their playlist. So saying they are "going" active is funny because they are already close enough as it is..
