106.5 - WKOE/Bass River Township

Well, G-Rock Radio now has an even stronger signal with Burlington County's WKOE/106.5 transmitting from the WWSI-TV tower in Tuckerton.

Will G-Rock finally add LOCAL information to 106.5? Like traffic reports that cover places south of Toms River, or maybe have some events (like Beach Ball) somewhere within 30 miles of Bass River Township?

G-Rock can be heard crystal clear from Staten Island to Ocean City, but 95% of thier advertisers, promotions, news reports, traffic reports and the like are from Seaside Heights northward.

Seems like 106.5 is a complete waste to me.

at least i knew it was coming .. the change of wkoe from 106.3 to 106.5 .... i can deal with not hearing don tandler in the margate city area , at least , a little bit better , knowing that "the breeze" was going to stop doing the third frequency thing , ahead of time ... the other 2 , 99.7 and 107.1 really are super weak , where i am .... i'll miss donnie-boy's show , just like i did when he left 101.5

last saturday night , using a matched 300 ohm quad dipole antennae set-up . i was able to get in 99.7 , in margate , using my marantz receiver in monaural , in a level that was a 1-1\2 , fairly listenable , for sure ... don tandler's 1982 show was awesome , by the way

Can anyone give a signal report on how far south the new 106.5 reaches?.......I bet on good radios it could probably make it well into Cape May county since 106.7 WSJQ has such a limited signal.......Also how is 106.5's signal in Atlantic City compared to how it was when they were on 106.3?

As far as how far south in Cape May County the signal reaches, I live in Erma, outside of Rio Grande and Wildwood, and I can't hear the station at all in my car. Was a shame because I kinda liked G Rock when I was able to hear it when I travelled.

Yep, I have a place in North Wildwood and 106.5 is drowned out by that Q107 drivel. So, the Jersey Shore still has no Modern/Alt.Rock. :-[

I know people may disagree with this, but in Philly the 98.5 signal is so much better. There are dead spots on 106.5, where-as 98.5 is crystal clear in all parts of Philly, Center City and South Philly its untouched but 106.5 has its problems. Why is this? Same spacing, Although WKDN is much closer to the area, but there is no splatter, the 106.5 signal is just not that strong. Its a shame 98.5 is going away, at least there was some sort of Alternative to listen to in Philly since Y-100 was hi-jacked.

When is the change of G-Rock off of 98.5 going to occur? I THOUGHT i had read July 5th. Is that true?
