106.7 Billboard

I saw a large billboard for Channel 106.7 today, heading east on Rt. 30 in York near Pennsylvania Avenue. It's rather simple - as a billboard should be - with 106.7 very large and the "hip hop, hair bands and everything in between" slogan beside it. Interesting to see a radio station doing outdoor promotion again, something that has become less commonplace these days. I didn't see any more on 30 at least up to the Millersville exit.

Country 107.7 also has a board on Rt. 30 near Toronita Street heading west. It's a little wordy and hard to read from a distance, but since traffic only moves about 5 mph on Rt. 30 at any given time, that probably doesn't matter.

Another small Channel 106.7 board eastbound route 283 near the Lancaster County fire training center. At least it is short and sweet like John indicates. Too many billboards, especially many radio ones I have seen put 30 seconds of copy on the billboard that the average drives sees for .5 seconds at the most, in a font you can't read unless you are ten feet from the board.

Keep in mind that Clear Channel operates an outdoor advertising (ie: billboards) business, I'm surprised they haven't been doing this for a while. Whats next? Bumper stickers?
