106.7 in Waco

I heard that the new 106.7 is on the air with a Memorial Day themed Free FM format. Can anyone confirm?

Affirmative. They've been on and off the air for several days. It will eventually become "DOC-FM," similar to their classic/adult hits sister station in Sherman-Denison. I anticipate the Waco version of "Doc" to lean heavily toward classic rock.

When I listened a few hours ago, their ID said "Snowflake 106.7". They are playing all Christmas music. In June.

It's called "stunting."

The real format debuted this afternoon. I've only listened briefly, so far. Sounds like a poor man's JACK-FM. Music selection better improve if they plan on putting a dent in any of the CC stations.
