106.7 Lite FM 24/7 Christmas Music Suggestion Thread

I totally agree 100%. There are so many Christmas songs out there that get little if any airplay. Even though I start listening to Christmas Music on Nov. 1, I try to keep my listening to radio Christmas stations as little as possible because of how repetitive it gets. I mean, there's only so many times I can take Wham!'s "Last Christmas".
Taylor Swift's version is a little more tolerable

Here are some of my suggestions for the playlist
The Beatles- Christmas Time is Here Again

Green Day- Xmas Time of the Year

The Raveonettes- The Christmas Song

XTC- Thanks For Christmas

Billy Squier- Christmas is the Time to Say I Love You
'LTW's playlist - or yours??? 'Cos quite frankly, I doubt that 'LTW would pick up on any of these songs - they seem to have found a formula that works

but they aint getting their feedback from a message board for radio geeks, who arent their target demo
They probably won't listen to someone who wants very few songs that did not exist in 1960 who reluctantly accepts Brenda Lee and Bobby Helms but draws the line at The Beach Boys and Chuck Berry (who I can enjoy any other time of year), and who will only accept traditional style performances of those songs.

I just wish they didn't repeat the same songs every hour

It's Labor Day!!! We're getting close to all Christmas music, just 2 and a half months away!!!

It may be more like just under two months.

I can see dozens of stations around the country (perhaps even WLTW-106.7?) going all-Christmas as early as November 1st, in part to appease retail advertisers who are worried about a terrible Christmas shopping season.

Remember that for most music stations, retail advertisers make up most of their revenues. And it's no secret that retail advertisers love to place spots on all-Christmas radio stations because of the atmosphere created by 24/7 Christmas music. And the Christmas music is a subtle reminder for listeners to "get your Christmas shopping done!".

I wouldn't be surprised if retail advertisers and their agencies will pressure radio stations that go all-Christmas each year to do so earlier this year.
