106.7 religion on Mt. Hood

I was up at Mt. Hood Meadows for a day of skiing yesterday and found some interesting DX. We had 106.7 The Eagle KLTH on all the way up, and right when we turned onto the Meadows property, I noticed the radio programming had changed from Classic Hits to religious preaching, but can't think what station this would be. As far as I know, KLTH is the only thing on 106.7 for miles.

Due to the high elevation of mountains, you are bound to get more distant stations coming in easily. Did you try to get a top-of-the-hour ID? It might be one of these stations: Potential candidates for your 106.7 in Mount Hood Meadows.
Since you were on the South-east side of the mountain, you should have an unobstructed view of Bend, Oregon, so possibly K294CV?

K294CV seems to be the most likely based on the direction, but didn't get any kind of ID. I'd love to do a scan from up there, but have never taken a radio as the focus has been skiing. Had my mom not offered to drive, I might have taken a radio to listen to while waiting for the bus to head back to town.

Sounds like an experience I had at Chinook Pass a few years back. At the top of Sourdough Gap, overlooking Sheep Lake, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens and Naches Peak, Eugene/Portland stations were quite strong. Dropping from the gap it was very loud signals from eastern Washington (Spokane / Moses Lake) upwards of 200 miles. Walking a ways towards Crystal Lake as Mt. Rainier came into its big view, IBOC took over all adjacents to Seattle stations except a seldom few, and Victoria, CJSU-89.7 in Duncan, Vancouver, and Bellingham stations were very loud as well.

Speaking of, K294CV gets their KAWZ programming from KKJA-89.9 in Redmond OR. That station was confirmed in August 2020 on Burnt Mountain and Shellrock Peak, north of Rimrock (parts of which were on the southerly edge of last year's devastating Schneider Springs Fire).

That's interesting! Have you ever been up to Meadows? I'd take a radio up there if I knew I'd have the time to DX, but when I'm up there, I want to spend as much time on the snow as possible, so no time for DX.

I have never been anywhere in Oregon except the Portland metro (2011/2012 trips). Even though I live 2 hours from Hermiston/Pendleton, never been there either.
