106.7 THE BEAT OF DETROIT

WOW! I don't live in Detroit, but I visit every now and then and I stream The Beat online and I am most impressed! I love their playlist because it's a less-repetitive 955 and the imaging/jingles are beyond beautiful! The jocks are cool and it's cool to hear Billy The Kidd on tracking and actually saying the station name! Kudos to them. Anyone else agree? Disagree? Also, who is the PD at The Beat?

How come 106.7 THE BEAT still cannot get good ratings. I mentioned this on buzzboard but nobody responed to me about it. What im saying is why do 106.7 THE BEAT always have low ratings in every PPM monthly marking period?

CLEAR CHANNEL Rhythmic AC WKTU/NEW YORK morning star PAUL "CUBBY" BRYANT will now be simultaneously heard on CLEAR CHANNEL Rhythmic AC WDTW (106.7 THE BEAT)/DETROIT.

He also can be heard on WMIA/MIAMI and KSYU/ALBUQUERQUE.

Unfortunately, 106.7 is moving away from their dance roots from when they first debuted last September. They used to play a lot more dance music from the '90s and early '00s, but they have quickly become just another Top 40 station that mixes in a few older dance songs every now and then. The same thing happened to 93.1 DRQ within the couple years after it re-debuted back in 1996.

I really like this station, but I just wish they'd go back to their original playlist. When I'm listening to the radio, I typically go back and forth between 106.7 and 98.7
