106.9 Broadcasting From New Transmitter Site?

I have noticed that the signal this morning seems weaker 3 miles east from the old xmtr site in Camden. WKDN used to be all over the FM Dial heard by me being this close (harmonics). Not now!

They are VERY weak here in High Bridge NJ. So weak that as a DX'er, I finally pulled in Rock 107 from Scranton. Only took me 28 years to get Rock 107. Also Hagerstown MD was an easy catch on 106.9, The Eagle. I've had them in the past with WKDN on.

That was tropo, which usually happens after an abnormally hot day.

If some are having trouble hearing the station, I'm thinking they're running 9 kW from Roxborough, and getting that in shape.

9kw from near the top of One Liberty Place in Center City, not Roxborough.

This morning the station had static in Bryn Mawr. By the time I drove to Malvern, it was unlistenable. And it was really poor in King of Prussia.
This can't be their regular signal going forward.

Merlin HAS to be nuts for messing around with that signal, it was one of the best in the area but maybe they're working on the main transmitter or maybe even getting a new one.

Yes, it did move to One Liberty Place, and with this move, their coverage has indeed decreased compared to the Camden site.
It appears they are at a power level lower than the 9kw. That may have more to do with radiation protocols in high population areas than anything else. Those protocols are getting more stringent. Is there anybody else at One Liberty?

WMMR (a Class B) and WPHI (a Class A).

Over the last 10 years or so, I noticed a change in reception of WMMR where I was staying in Pt. Pleasant. I chalked it up to WPAT losing WTC and WMMR no longer on top of the PSFS building.

What sort of change you ask?
Less interference from WPAT and lower apparent power from WMMR.

I know next to nothing about broadcast engineering beyond what I read on this board and others like it, but I thought the change in WMMR was caused by the fact that One Liberty is no longer the tallest building in Philadelphia.

Isn't WMMR a little less power on One Liberty vs their now backup transmitter on PSFS due to more height? They were 29Kw on PSFS when they broadcast from PSFS. They're 16.5Kw on One Liberty and I guess the back-up is down to 25Kw. Remember the 29 thousand watt flame thrower promo? and the station that reaches the beaches and rules the pools promo?

I always thought they were referring to Island Park and Long Beach Island up to Pt. Pleasant with that Promo.

Since 94.1 was blasted from WNYC at 93.9 and WJLK on 94.3 to the North, I figured it was a cut on WYSP.

It might have been just cool to say, too.

You could get them down in Atlantic County and parts of Cape May County too. I could listen to WMMR on the beach in Ocean City, NJ on my Walkman when I was a child. There is a 93.1 down in Cape May County that went on the air sometime in the '90s that makes it hard to get but, now I can get them anywhere at the Shore with my iPhone and the wmmr app.
For the most part, Philly doesn't consider the shore anything above Atlantic County. Anything above that has New Yorkers.

Has anyone bothered to read what the construction permit actually says:

Licensee: MERLIN MEDIA LICENSE LLC
Service Designation: FS Auxiliary station (backup for the main station)
Channel/Class: 295B Frequency: 106.9 MHz Construction Permit

It they are broadcasting from One Liberty then it is temporary while they do work at the main site.
