106.9 FM, overton?????

KONV-FM, Never heard of this station till last nite, when I used my trusty ol' analog radio......good music, no commercials, no sweepers, just a LID at the top of the hour, FCC page states it's owned by Hot 97.5, KEMP communications???? where the heck is overton????

The signal in my car on the NW and SW side of Vegas is not too bad. The signal is stronger than 94.5 and maybe even 107.9. For a rimshot signal, it's not bad. The processing sounds major market....unlike 107.9 that sounds really flat even when the signal is clear.

I was just in Las Vegas, and listened to 106.9 KONV. It's Hot AC music without any liners, other than the top-of-the-hour ID. The songs fade all the way to silence, before the next one begins. What's up with that?

They are still running in a "test" mode for now. The actual format is still unknown. Actually, they've been off the air for the last month or so. So they must've just fired up the transmitter recently.

106.9 is back on simulcasting KMZQ AM-670. I wonder if this is the where the Q will permanently live? It might have more of a chance on a rimshot FM than on AM. I also noticed that the processing is cranked so high that it will definitely cause listener fatigue.
