What do you think about Free FM so far? For me, I like it somewhat, but I don't like Daria O'Toole shwo b/c she talks about politics a lot.

I won't comment about the Doghouse since they are gone in 3 weeks.

I actually have enjoyed John London's show. It shows how messed up KNBR is. His show was horrible on KNBR. Probably because he needed to go to a commercial break every 5 minutes.

I just don't see how O'Toole is going to be able to stay. When it is Corolla, London, and, if, as rumored A's baseball, she just has too much of a female-centric show and will kill the demo's.

If they do get the A's, I can read O'Toole already. She will (BLEEP) herself out to becoming an "A's fan," but in reality, A's fans that tune in for the 12:30 weekday day game will tune out immediately when she starts talking about what a P.O.A. Eric Chavez is.

If they do get the A's, I'll take a Scott Ferrell before O'Toole anyday (I'm assuming he would not be too hard to get.)

uh, isn't that what people on talk stations DO? at least some of the time? Granted, this station is aiming to be an alternative to KGO/KSFO/KNEW/KQKE, but still...

As much as I loved Darian in the past, I gotta say she blows now. It seems like her show is geared toward fans of "The Real World" and that's about it. Also, her topics are a little "Leykisish".

Not saying I am a doghouse fan or anything about the doghouse but once they leave a lot of their listenership will leave. And not because they are the doghouse but to me if you do talk radio you should keep it local and non syndicated, local people listen local people put their input. Now when Corolla comes in and he is Sterns replacment and he gears his show like Sterns no one could/would call in, (have you heard stern have a lot of local people/topics on??) also it prob. won't be live. (come on Talk radio should be LIVE so you can call and interact) Ok so after Corolla you have a local show D.O.T ok ok you like her you hate her but it is local and she could take local live calls. after her you have Penn Gellette for an hour (sounds too much like an infomercial than a radio show to me) after them you7 would have London (another great local show that lets callers interact and comment) I never heard john london before Free FM and now I must say I do hear myself listening in a lot more. After London you have Leykis... Yes he has wide open telephones and has a lot of people calling BUT WHATS THE USE IF ITS RECORDED AND NOT LIVE then you have another syndicated show at night.

So bottom line with only 2 local shows and the rest syndicated and not live I DO NOT think it will last.

To me if you are going to have a Talk station AM or FM you need to have local talent and have interaction with the listener. If I want to hear just talk and not be able to interact I would watch TV

Oh well my 2 cents what do you think????

The Doghouse has a very loyal fan base and if you listen to the station, many if not most of the callers are there listening as a result of The Doghouse. John London does his focus groups and asks how they heard about the show and a lot reply The Doghouse sent them to listen to the show.

So when Elvis and JV leave for Ny, you have to wonder how many leave the station with them?

And can someone answer why Live 105 is not carrying Adam, it would make so much more sense...

Corolla will be based out of L.A. and only be on the West Coast, so he will be live.

Sorry but, "Long Live KGO News Talk 810 AM!" Free FM will never even come close!

Since KIFR is not going after the same demo, I don't see how that matters. It is like saying a new CHR station would be going after a classical audience.

If you listen to the station all they talk about is Corolla also I heard Live 105 talk about the Morning Co-Op so Yes he is going to 106.9

Bernie Ward must be killing Lekyis in that slot. Live &local is whats it's all about!
