Anyone have new opinions on Free fm. I was listening yesterday and their Midday Host sounded clearly drunk or on drugs. She couldnt speak a sentence that made any sense. Then poof, they went to a commercial and she sounded fine, and he guest was no longer there. Sounded to me like management pulled her due to her misbehavior. Anyone else hear this??

Are you saying they went to "Best Of's" (to use the term losely)?

I listened for a few minutes earlier in the week, and it did sound like there was a slurring problem.

I do know she has had some serious medical issues in the past. I would wonder if new meds or treatments might be the reason.

Also, I heard John London rip Penn Teller the other day. He also said he thought Adam Carola was getting better. But, he never said a word about Darian O'Toole.

Well if you where listening on Saturday it was probably "Best Of" they usually do cut it off tp go to commercial...

He posted on Saturday night, so I assumed he was talking about Friday.
 
Darian has been sick I believe the last few weeks, and they even played a best of Tom Leykis in her slot for at least a day I was listening.

I think medically she isn't 100% and has affected her performance.

As for John London, he has openly ripped Penn for a good month now, and throws in little jabs here and there.

Whoa. Are you saying that you know for a fact that she was drunk or on heavy drugs? If not, you'd better ask the moderator to delete your message right now. Unless you have first-hand proof that she was inebriated, you'd better hope that no attorneys are reading this.

As for disciplinary action, do you work at the station? Or are you guessing?

Oh, and Turi Ryder is a fairly well-known radio personality. She worked here at KPIX-FM back a few years ago.

Whatever's on the mics or in the coffee at CBS Talker KIFR (106.9 FREE FM)/SAN FRANCISCO is spreading. On FRIDAY, (2/24) midday personality DARIAN O'TOOLE was interviewing comic DAVE ATTELL, and was reportedly slurring her words. 20 minutes into the show, DARIAN was replaced with a "best of" show.

You'll recall that back on JANUARY 12th, afternooner JOHN LONDON went on a rant that included calling and airing a conversation with CBS RADIO Chairman/CEO JOEL HOLLANDER, and slamming the rest of the talent on FREE FM. LONDON was on the air the following day, and ALL ACCESS has learned that O'TOOLE was expected to return to the air today at her normal time, 10a (PT), but TURI RYDER is in her place telling the audience that "DARIAN is a little under the weather."

I can't believe you don't know who Turi Ryder is? Where were you brought up! lol lol.....I thought you knew radio and the personalities that inhabit it! lol lol (just Kidding) Turi Ryder WLS, KFRC, KGO, Free FM, and many others! She does a lot of fill-in work and followed Bobby Ocean on KFRC back in the eighties. Great Host!

Well, looks like we have the authority on drinking and drugs. So glad you have all your facts straight. How's your work with the National Enquirer?

Let's see...first you claim she was drunk and drugged on the air. Now you make the claim that she's been replaced by some "Turi" girl. You really don't know much about Bay Area broadcasting, do you?

Rumors about someone abusing alcohol/drugs and then being "disciplined" are disgusting. Get your facts straight before making yourself the expert.

Boss, you're trying to use logic with someone who makes up rumors in order to make themselves look like an "industry insider".

Statements like blackhole's are the ones that end up in court.
