106.9 the new home for Pulse 101.7

Started this morning. Something different to be on 101.7 in about a month, but they didn't say what, just that it wouldn't be country.

Certainly not surprised they made a change to 106.9 as the ratings have been dropping. The old WKZY website is still up. Could 101.7 go back to simulcast of WDVH? I miss the old "Country Legends" when they programmed it locally with a great variety of music. Not a big fan of the current WDVH Fox News Radio. Has anyone heard how Jim Brand is doing? He retired from WDVH after 40+ years.

God forbid anybody be smart enough to go Adult Alternative ! (97x was free form)

106.9 had their best numbers when they were satellite adult standards !

Anybody have ears on 101.7?? Are they still carrying Pulse? Seems like his flip wasnt fully planned out with Pulse going to KZY but nothing on deck to put on PLL. Am I wrong?

As of this morning, WPLL 101.7, is still simulcasting Pulse with 106.9. The TOH I.D. contains both stations calls.

At least they have changed the website to 106.9. Does it make sense to be still simulcasting two full-power FM's from the same tower???

I'm surprised they've been doing that for as long as they have. Figured something else would be on 101.7 by now... ???

Still simulcasting. Tomorrow is the 31st. I would think 101.7 flips to SOMETHING else tomorrow night at midnight. Maybe. ::)

Let's see, WKZY, WDVH A-F, and WRZN at least showed up in the ratings and they put Fox News radio on WDVH & WRZN and they both drop out of the ratings. They put the Pulse on WDVH-FM and it drops out of the ratings. Now they put The Pulse on their best FM signal (WKZY) and keep it on 101.7.

I wonder if they will put the bucks and the effort into promoting The Pulse? The format can certainly be successful (see Orlando) but not without some local effort.

101.7 is back to WDVH-FM. I always guessed they would simulcast WDVH/WRZN on 101.7. Maybe now that the call letters have been changed they will do something with 101.7.

I'm confused, your saying 101.7 is now WDVH-FM again and that they are tri-mulcasting WDVH-AM and WRZN-AM ??? My head is spinning...........

Sorry, they are back to WDVH-FM but still simulcasting 106.9 The Pulse. I am guessing they will end up simulcasting WDVH-AM and WRZN which makes sense I guess but wish it was classic country or oldies and not Fox News radio.
