In years past didn't they go "All" Christmas on black Friday? I noticed yesterday they were still playing regular music with a little Christmas sprinkled in.
 
I guess since we already have two all christmas with the exact same playlist what is the point??? I think light 106.9 has an identity crises!!! They dont know whether they are ac or hot ac. I mean lita ford on the weekends cant quite call that lite rock. And during the week living on a prayer??? They need to drop the light from there name.
 
I also heard them say light 106.9 the original christmas music station. I wish they would play the christmas music instead of there boring format. I do think they made a smart change with the ramsey brothers in the morning. It doesnt sem to matterwhat market you are in or the number of stations in the market playing all christmas they all have the same playlist very sad i think!

Light use to always play the country version of santa clause is coming to town but noone will play it this year. Light use to always play that.

Heck i cant even hear coldplay have yourself a meryy little christmas that is sad light use to at least play that. I have heard barenaked ladies with god rest ye but very little.

Bring the good christmas music!!! At least sprinkle it in for christ sakes!!!
 
I am surprised they didnt go all christmas for the simple fact the numbers for christmas music are huge. Yes i know we have two stations playing christmas music but a big but here, people always stick with heritage and light 106.9 has been all christmas for years now.

Just ask los angeles radio station the wave whom went all christmas for the first time last year and clear channels kost beat them quite handily so there is something to be said for heritage. Kost is 30 years old with the same format this year!!!

I guess they dont care about huge numbers this holiday season???
 
Cox isn't doing all-Christmas on most of the stations that have done it in the past. One thing's certain, Cox never does anything haphazardly. So, it had to have done research indicating staying closer to format would be beneficial.
 
There must be some research about Christmas music being burnt to a crisp. I've heard of a few dozen stations who are skipping all-Christmas this weekend.
