1067 The Wolf

ok. rumor has it KKND is about to flip to The Wolf. Now I havent checked the ratings in about a year and to my shock 1067 KKND is rating lower than WIST ::) (KKND-FM 0.9 17t 0.8 18t --per the ratings section of this site)..Can anything help KKND? Other than blowing up the complete linup and music library? thoughts? and Merry christmas BTW.. ;)

Other than actually blowing up everything about the station when shifting it to the Wolf including the idea of playing the songs faster will bring in a few advertisers and make the songs punchier than WNOE... It's sad when WZKX-FM ("Kicker 108" a country station from Bay St. Louis ) is doing numbers in NOLA that are half of a C in town....

Kill it and do it right... apparently whoever is trying to make the Citadel NOLA market more attractive is trying to do right by what I've seen so far (I think even sat fed oldies over 106.1 will steal listeners from WTIX as some believe in wanting to hear hits only, and TIX can get eclectic at times)

Ya'll kill me !
You bitch about corporate radio and yet continue to bash one of the few truly local stations, WTIX-FM.
They have a more extensive playlist than anyone else and yet it's "too eclectic".
Sorry, I have tried satellite, and while the music lists are deeper, they too can get even more eclectic.
They also have NOOOOO local flavor. I have tried the new 106.1 and lasted about an hour . . . and it still doesn't earn a button in my car.
I also enjoy 104 the X in Baton Rouge, which blows away the Florida-tracked 104 in New Orleans(?).
104 the X has local dj's that enable me to know what city I am in. If they would only do something about their weak signal issues, they could capture those in BR desperate for new rock that have to resort to the other 104 in New Orleans, ahhhh, Florida.
Thank you to the local owners like 94.3 and 104 the X and here's to a properous new year !

BJ I'm not knocking local radio in my last post this go around. I just know that some people want to hear familiar oldies than what 94.3 plays..people who may not be from around here. I personally listen to both stations you mentioned (plus the rest of them and some you can't get in New Orleans) but I'm just stating a fact that you can't please everyone....

If I do knock them on occasion, but there are times I celebrate them, It all comes down personally on my opinion to it's a fact that you have to listen to your audience as well as your heart.

The country station from Mississippi I mentioned in a family owned cluster from Mississippi!!!! Local radio kicking technically at 106.7

I could knock many clear channel stations over the fact that what they call new in the area is actually at number 2 and falling in the charts... 104.1 the rock of Housida proves that one. (Houston mornings, Florida all the rest of the day)

I like TIX FM. I support them. but I cant pick them up anymore post katrina. They play the osmonds..my favorite 70s rock band  and yes I am serious ;D Merry Christmas!

i like the osmonds.when i play crazy horses, my wife will call and say that song has got to go(hated it).finally dropped it.does tix fm play Pass the Hatchet by roger & the gsypies?that was a fav on tix AM years ago.Bobby Reno loved that song.If oldies king reads this posting, how about emailing the sooner or later(grass roots)where they sang WTIX on the intro.like to have it in my archive.thanks and Happy New year... oldiesstation at aol.com thanks
