I noticed they have been simulcasting with Bob 101.7 since before Christmas. Is there a format change in the future and to what?

Actually, they began simulcasting BOB FM just after halloween. I'm sure they are planning a format change, but usually you don't dump the old format until you have the new one ready. All they are doing right now is driving away listeners on 2 of their stations with that BOB FM garbage.

I don't know if it means anything, but Delilah is listing 101.7 as her Texarkana affiliate. I guess it's possible she could be planning on being on an adult hits station. However, it seems highly unlikely.

Delilah IS on BOB FM 101.7 right now. It's weird, very weird. They can go from playing Nirvana right into Delilah. But they don't really have a "Sunny" or "Lite" station in town, so I guess it as good a fit as any other format would be.

If there gonna simulcast anything on 107.1 why not KCMC at least that would make sense. KCMC doesn't go north and south much.

107.1 dumped their airstaff right before Christmas. A friend of mine was one of the casualties. She's back in Minnesota now. Not sure what the new format is going to be. The leading rumor seems to be Country. I guess you can never have too many Country stations in a market, right?

Well, if they kept her on staff until Christmas, they did her a favor, because I know for a fact they have been simulcasting since just after Halloween. Too bad though, I liked that station better than Power. I doubt they will go country because it was country before it went to CHR. I'm hoping for a good modern rock station. Texarkana has 2 classic rock stations and you can't pick-up KTUX very well at all.

If they go Country it needs to be classic country. They can't compete with KKYR and KPIG can't be picked up south of town.

I don't think country did very well on 107.1. CHR may have done worse though. Kicker is the heritage station for the market and a huge one at that.

93.3 seems like a better fit for Delilah.

I just heard it too. "The all new KTFS FM - Freedom 107." They are running the same programming as KTFS-AM, Beck, Rush, etc. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but It could be worse too. They already were simulcasting on 105.5 fm as a translator. Maybe they will put ESPN as a simulcast on 105.5 fm. They turned off the stereo pilot too, it travels quite a way, sounds good too.

I had a hunch this was what they were gonna do.This could be a good move for them.

Does this mean they plan to keep it this way or change 105.5 to some other format?

Since 105.5 is a translator only thing you could do is simulcast another station 740 would be the logical choice. 107 is not a complete simulcast, I noticed in the evenings they are running Laura Ingram while 940 had Savage on.

The Fix never had a stream or even a website or Facebook page. What was so great about this station? I don't even think the logo was online. What a bad way to represent the station - no web exposure.

Actually, they put up a very nice website about 3 months before they pulled the plug on the whole thing. It had streaming and the whole works. Within about a week of them simulcasting, they had deleted the webpage, the stream was offline, and the logo had been deleted from the main company site texarkanaradio.com. Obviously somebody made a quick decision on the format change and wiped-out a whole lot of hard work. AND they had a facebook page too, which was deleted at the same time.

My biggest complaint is the total lack of professionalism they show in doing a format change. They simulcast BOB FM for 3 months? And now that they have chosen a new format, they haven't bothered to mention it on their other stations. And no facebook page or any online presence yet... how am I supposed to view their talk line-up?
