107.3 Hit Music "NOW" losing STEAM?

Way too many country signals along 30A for the Seabreeze to join in the party. They may not stay jazz forever, but that little signal is never flipping to country. I wonder what the Country station on 106.3 in Brewton is going by these days? If the Seabreeze was off the air for some reason that station might slip down to the coast.

WKBU in Brewton is Coyote Country.

If Seabreeze was off then I'd still consider that a good catch, despite Brewton not being that far away. I never ever hear WKBU when I do a bandscan unless I'm actually well north of I-10.

I don't remember ever catching WKBU. 106.3 has always been a weird frequency with all those 3k and 6k class A stations on it. You'd be amazed at how far off Radio Locator's coverage maps are for 106.3 WTUF. Boston, GA, and WGMK, Donalsonville, GA. Absolutely no overlap.

The Seabreeze FM 104.7 WAAZ would probably do VERY WELL!

If you want to hear Kenny G on WAAZ something is wrong with you.

There are what, five commercial smooth jazz stations left in the entire USA?

WAAZ is best left alone. If it did flip in the next couple of years (which I could imagine if WJSB 1050 got a 250 watt FM translator up on the WAAZ tower), I'd say News/Talk, Classic Country, Classic Rock, or Oldies would fit best for the coverage area 104.7 has. Maybe scratch News/Talk... not too many people interested in Crestview news. If a translator did happen, they would probably do best to leave WAAZ alone and flip WJSB to Talk or Oldies as a very local Crestview station. WAAZ can't last forever, enjoy it while you can.

What about having a news talk that *WE* can hear? Or will I always be tuning into 1200 out of texas for coast to coast?
