107.3 PENSACOLA

Well, I am just curious if and how long they will keep the name "the Groove." They sound like "WiLD" is the next name cause on their iHeart Radio station, they have the same slogan "Today's Hottest Hits...WiLD"

or will Clear Channel keep us guessing knowing that this station is not going to succeed?!

Don't bet too much against Clear Channel knocking down serious numbers with 107.3 in that particular format, no matter what flip they use. Way too many big-time success stories to take them lightly.

I think it was the smartest move CC could make taking 107.3 the direction they did. The last format confused too many people. Numbers reflected that. Then you have WABB kind of just there. WJLQ is well....a Cumulus station. BLX is not as strong was it was even a couple years ago. There's more mainstream titles on that station now, then I can ever remember. The whole 18-34 demo is in store for a major reshuffling. The problem is all these stations still have major work to do in different areas if they're going to grab the demo by the horns. End result? WABB will stay out in front simply because of heritage. But if just one of these stations gets their act together, it will affect the landscape by one or two other stations switching directions....again.
