107.3 The Eagle To "Replay" Van Halen Concert Saturday

The Eagle is running promos that immediately after Saturday night's Van Halen concert at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, they will "replay" the show on their air. Is that legal? Or are they only going to play the songs matching up with the concert's setlist? I've heard of some stations running a block of an artist's music directly after a concert, but never an instant replay of the concert itself.

I recall hearing of stations replaying the set list after a big show many, many years ago. I think its a great idea, cool that Eagle is bringing it back.

According to Yes.com, The Eagle indeed played studio versions of Van Halen songs last Saturday night from 11 PM until just after midnight. I'm thinking that if it was audio of the actual concert, the songs probably wouldn't be detected, since Yes' logistics are usually accustomed to studio versions of songs.

Someone mentioned Ron Diaz and to the best of my knowledge non competes are illegle in the state of Florida. I once signed one and it was thrown out since Fla is a right to work state

Wrong post but thanks for sharing the info.

Was on Eagle's Facebook page the other day and found an exchange a listener had with whomever is running the page at the station - apparently, he thought they would be replaying the concert, too! Scroll down and find the post from around two weeks ago.
