107.3 The Eagle

I'm a new listener to The Eagle via the stream. I live in Indy earning a living as a disgruntled former radio guy... and I hear their music re-joiner say "and now for more of the music that makes America great" or something like that... as they go into David Essex's "Rock On."

Isn't David Essex from England?

???

Bear in mind, this is the same station that has been referring to itself as "THE NEW" 107.3 The Eagle... for the past several years. :D

This is a God awful station, the brain trust of some genius consultant. How many times can you hear Fleetwood Mac? Suppose to be the station for the boomers, no variety, same lame jingle package, claaaaasic hits.

Please make this format go away.....................

Their HD2 station is even worse- same exact liners between every song. I'll take my iPod thank you.

Thats Cox/Tampa for you. Up the dial its been "The New 101.5 The Point" for far longer, and if memory serves, more than a decade since "The New Magic 94.9" replaced "Warm 94.9".

There is nothing "new" about these terrible formats. They reek of repetition and mundane entertainment. Bob O'Neal and his buddies in Atlanta must be so proud of themselves.................

The broadcast business is in terrible, terrible trouble, because of all the things mentioned about. Repetition, lame and/or burned out formats, liner jocks/no jocks and on and on. And the younger generation is finding the solution via i-Pods. Hard to grow a business if you don't re-invest into your product.
