Does anybody know the hold up on 107.5's power increase?

I spoke with CE Vic Jester something like 8 months ago. He said the move would take about a year and a half at the time. He mentioned an FAA survey and other factors. Also, the tower in the application is a placeholder. Radio One planned to build its own tower in the vicinity, and that process would take time also.

Where is Littlejohn when we need him?

Doesn't this affect South 107's upgrade?

According to radio locator South 107's upgrade is only a power increase, and a change in COL. It looks like they are staying on the same tower and tower hight. The power increase should help fill in some "holes".

But I thought WTSH needed the 107.5 tower move for sufficient second-adjacent separation with their (WTSH's) proposed power increase. IIRC that's what I saw in WTSH's CP.

Doesn't HOT 107.9 have an app to increase as well?

They have a construction permit, but they have to wait for 107.5 to move before they can upgrade. When 107.5 moves, the short-spacing issue between 107.5 and 107.9 will go away, and 107.9 can increase power. The 107.9 upgrade is much easier because they're staying on the same tower.

South 107's CP expires Monday. Are they at 100k yet?

Do they have to do the COL with the power increase at the same time? If so then check the Legal ID. I missed it while on a trip in North GA this AM. They seem to have a better signal north of Jasper than they did this summer. In Ellijay, they one of only 4 stations to stop the scan in my car along with WLJA, 100.1 and 103.9.
