Just read on Jill's (formerly of WZGC and 99X fame) facebook feed:

"and looks like i'll be doing traffic at all news 107.5 starting sometime between now and christmas :)"

Radio One taking 107.5 to an all-news format while leaving 97.5 urban?

Hmmmmm.
 
Probably a type-o, I am sure she meant "Mostly News 106.7."

The chance of 97.5 flipping away from Magic is more likely than 107.5


Just remember during Melissa Carter's solo tryout on Mostly News 106.7 she almost said all the hits instead of saying the all news all news (mostly) news 106.7
 
She updated with a comment, that, yep, it was a typo:

"i guess i'll learn not to make this mistake in the future, but it is 106.7 :)"
 
Could it be a typo for 105.7 and the "all news" is incorrect? Maybe CC is hiring someone to do traffic and news for an all-Christmas 105.7....?
 
But that would suck if 105.7 goes all news! There are two music format holes wide open. In addition to that, what would putting news on 105.7 do? I'm sure it wont affect WSB too much...

Just like CC to blow up a heritage news/talker despite cries to put it on FM, signing away all the top-tier talent to the competition, and THEN starting an FM newser...
 
There's a pattern developing here, and I smell a conspiracy. 106.7 goes all news. Now 105.7. Watch out, FISH; 104.7 is next. And then Chuck! Oh no! :eek: Then, the news terrorists will set their sights on 99.7! Good Lord; what will be the next 7 to be taken over? 96.7?

US 101 (WUSY, I call them Wussy 101) in Chattanooga (100.7)?  It owns the Chattanooga book the way V-103 does in ATL.  But it's owned by CC, so it would surprise me not.

trusty, the format of All News is not going to wipe all the other formats off the map. That would not be cool if that happened. After all, music does make the world go round. As for other spoken word formats, there's just no way they would be wiped off the map. People can't listen to All News all the time.
