107.5 OLDIES ALBUQUERQUE

Nice move in and programming job. Real contender potential, keep it young if you can.
I programmed top 40 stations in Colorado,New Mexico and California the 60s and the music is right on.
Just dont get hung up on the obscure 50s no hit wonders Artists to much.
BB across town must be having a cow right about now..................

The announcement I heard on 1600 was 1600/107.5 so it sounded like it was supposed to be a simulcast. Tuned to 107.5 and not the same program.

Albuquerque needs for some over the air stations to go dark. The airwaves are poluted localy...........Way too much programming duplication.........However having said that its fun to watch the PD s try to corner their market share with boring
imaging and a limited playlist.

However the 107.5 and 98.5 matchup could get interesting.

Personaly I prefer my IPOD with Itunes.........

So I finally got the 107.5 signal out of ABQ. On my side of the mountain I get the C&W station in Santa Fe/Los Alamos. The sound quality is really excellent.

But my question is why they did not put KIVA (Talk) on the FM signal and be the first with the format on FM in ABQ?

The Huttons have done a great job with Outlaw Country 107.5,in Santa Fe.

The Brandons with 98.5 have had a good long run .The Brandons are masters at buying and upgrading rim shot move in signals.

Its going to be interesting to see what the ABQ oldies 107.5 does to that run.The playing field just got muddy.

How good is the signal of the new translator throughout most of Albuquerque?

And btw did 1600 ever get their 50K upgrade finished?

I haven't been too far north or south, but on the I-40 they start coming in about the Carnuel exit and by Tramway the signal is solid. After that there isn't a section in ABQ metro that they haven't been coming in full quiteing.

Cool 107.5 will only get better in every way as we continue to grow this Little AM station that could and has! and now on FM we will continue to grow in every way. Stay tuned!

Choices and variety are a good thing, especialy for terrrestrial Radio.
Play the hits, relate to the community and have some fun.
Personality driven Radio in the late 50s and 60s worked, until the time and temp Consultants with limited playlists mucked it up.
