Thanks for the nod. I think it was once referred to as "WOR-South" but right now our star is Oprah's new favorite, Dave Ramsey. (2-4p, 10p-1am) It's not a sexy approach but it's getting some good response.
I have noticed something that worries me about the future of local radio, though. It involves co-op advertising, or the lack thereof. This used to be a staple of stations like WCOJ but with more and more of these big companies pinching their pennies, the more their ad agencies are refusing co-op to local businesses that sell their products to advertise in unrated, local stations. If this dries up completely then it's going to do more to drive out both the mom-and-pop radio stations as well as the mom-and-pop stores since they can't afford to get the word out that they are open for business.
