107.7 vs QMF since the format change.

I think I figured out in 2009 that of the previous 40 ratings books, SFR had beaten QMF overall about 36 times, 90%. As QMF owned mornings in Louisville for most of that time, the only way for SFR to do that was to beat QMF in every other daypart. And they did it pretty consistently in that period.

I don't know what book Radiofan502 is talking about, and I'm not disputing his numbers per se, but the Eagle took a major jump after the format change and jumped well ahead of QMF once again. The image change was a huge success.

I got those ratings from ****************** and they are the Arbitron ratings. Starting in Fall 2011 here are the ratings:
WQMF 3.1 - 3.1 - 3.7 - 3.9 - 3.7 - 3.3
WSFR 4.5 - 4.5 - 4.5 - 4.3 - 3.5 - 3.3
The image change for 107.7 seems to be wearing off.

Ok, great. If I read that right it proves my point. It looks to me like you have 4 books there, followed by two trends.

You've got Fall 2011 when the Eagle was launched and beat QMF by 1.4 points. (WAY up over Summer 2011)
Winter 2011 - Same
Spring 2012 - SFR still at a 4.5, QMF on the rise
Summer 2012 - SFR still wins 4.3 - 3.9 with some slide off (which of the 3 months in that was the bad one for SFR?)

And then two trends of the fall book that shows more decline, but then an evening out. You posted 4 books and SFR won all four.

You want to bet who wins the Fall book?

I do know that both stations have sounded better lately. QMF has dug back into the 90s and 107.7 has added some more cuts from the Police, Ozzy, and several more. It's improved classic rock radio.

SFR won fall handily over QMF for 5 in a row. Good thing you didn't bet.
